April 22, 2010 – Springfield, MA -VCI Solutions is excited to recognize the contributions of supporters for the Build 2010 House Project taking place during the National Association of Broadcasters Show in Las Vegas through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas. ARAMARK and Freeman have graciously agreed to supply labor, services, and/or supplies for the project.
Aramark is supplying breakfast and water for the hundreds of volunteers on each of the workdays-Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday during the show. These volunteers will be framing a house for a worthy family in the Las Vegas area. ARAMARK also has worked with the vendors of the Las Vegas Convention Center to provide lunch each day for all of the volunteers. The vendors are Sbarro®, Nathan’s®, and Quizno’s Sub®.
“ARAMARK’s employees at the Las Vegas Convention Center are committed to enriching the communities where they live and work,” said Jim Kohler, ARAMARK Resident District Manager at the Las Vegas Convention Center.” We are proud to work with our partners, to contribute our diverse skills and resources to help ensure the success of the Build 2010 House Project.”
Freeman is supplying electric so that the teams of volunteers can operate the power tools on the same workdays, April 11th-April 13th, while the house is being framed. They are also dedicating a forklift and forklift operator on April 16th to the task of disassembling the framed house in preparation for transport to the home site where it will eventually be finished and occupied by a worthy family selected by Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas.”
“Freeman employee owners actively participate in a wide range of community service programs and fund-raising efforts, both nationally and in local neighborhoods,” said Carrie Freeman Parsons, Vice Chair of Freeman. “Our partnership with ARAMARK to build the Habitat for Humanity house reflects our lasting commitment and gratitude to the Las Vegas community.”
“Deanna Kennedy, Director of Marketing Communications for VCI Solutions, commented, “ARAMARK and Freeman are symbolic of building partnerships for a greater community. They have been wonderful partners with the NAB Show and this is an example of how this not only serves the Las Vegas community, but the industry ‘communities’ that they serve through conventions.
